Office Professional 2010 on my home computer.
Using Outlook as client for my Hotmail account.
Of late, I've had never-ending "receiving" processes, or failure messages with a variety of excuses, or a message about Connector problems preventing communication with the server. Sometimes I get "no data available for this view" in the folder viewing pane.
I've run scanost, and found that there are problems with the ost file.
I've deleted the ost file (or renamed it away) and let outlook regenerate it, several times now. Immediately, or almost immediately, scanost reports errors. Moreover, after a scanost "repair", there are still errors -- it does not come up clean (in scanost's own estimation) until a second repair is performed.
It sounds like there is a pernicious bug in this release of Outlook (and at least a minor one in scanost).
Are these known issues? Has MS acknowledged them? Any suggestions where to go from here?
