I have several machines that are affected in this manner.

All Machines are Windows XP SP1a & Office 2000 SP3. I cannot use XP-SP2 due
to other SW on our network.

While in Word2000 I try to send to as attachment. and receive this error.
MAPI ERROR:
Word couldn't send mail because of MAPI failure: "Unspecified error".

Also I cannot right-click a document and send to mail recipient.
OUTLOOK ERROR:
The operation failed due to network or other communication problems.
Check your connections and try again.

I have tried:
* detect and repair with office.
* reinstall XP1a
* FIXMAPI
* Uninstall & reinstall office. (removing office foders and registy entries
before reinstall)
* Tried uninstall & reinstall of Outlook express.
* Tried to install IE6sp1 full install, and the install only got to 87% and
died.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

What is your default mail client on these machines? Is Outlook open when
you try to send mail using Office or right click?
