I am having a problem view any help files with Microsoft Office
Professional 2010. Therefore, I decided to email Microsoft with the
problem. As a result I had to enter my product key before proceeding.
This was not recognised. (It is a genuine product). I assumed this
problem might be caused by possible non-activation?

I tried to check if the product key was located within the software.
Microsoft help files state that one must click on the Microsoft icon in
any Office program and view the properties, but I don't see the icon in
Office 2010?

I thought activation was done automatically online when installing? (The
activation checkbox was checked during installation).

Most Microsoft help files relate to Office 2007.

1. How can I find the product key within the software to verify that it
agrees with the packaging?

2. How can I tell if my product is activated?

3. What is the contact number for telephone activation for those living
in the UK?

Help! I'm a newbie on this group and it is doing my head in. I'm
computer literate as well!

Nothing wrong with the product really, but this aspect is very vague and
very bad IMO.

Maybe with some feedback I'll have some help files with the product?
Where are they located? I have verified my product, but it makes no
difference.

Eventually found the product key within the software. It's different to
that on the box! Some help!

Click on the '?' and that will bring up help files. I went in and found
the following:

How can I tell whether my software has been activated?
1.Click the File tab.
2.Click Help.
If you don't see an Activate Product Key button, your software has been
activated.
If you do see an Activate Product Key button, your software hasn't been
activated. You should follow the instructions in the "How do I activate
at a later time" section.
