Right-clicking highlighted text no longer offers "hyperlink" in the
pop-up menu. I suspect I inadvertently switched away from "Normal" as
my "style", or whatever that's called. How do I check this?
Any other ideas?
TIA,
Richard
Hi Richard
I am not sure how to restore the "hyperlink" within the right-click
context-menu. However, until you find an answer you can use a work-around -
select the words you want to use as a hyperlink and then CTRL+K
Hope this helps.
Gerry
Further to my earlier reply - you might also like to try this:-
Select TOOLS?Customize then select the Toolbars Tab. Click the RESET button to
reset changes made to the Standard Toolbar for Normal.dot.

Hi Gerry,
Thanks for your responses. Neither of your ideas seemed to solve my
problem, probably because my Normal.dot template was broken.
But the fact that you used the ".dot" extension DID help, because
then Microsoft Office Help did tell me:
1. Where Normal.dot could be found, and
2. If it was damaged or missing, Word would recreate it.
That let me get a fresh copy which handled hyperlinks correctly. The
down-side is I lost all my macros, but reproducing them is a minor
price to pay to get Word working properly. (And this time, I'll back
up my macros or Normal.dot itself.)
Best wishes,
Richard
