Incorrect page-count numbering in the footer.

I have only used total page count fields in Excel spreadsheets.

When I did so in the footer of a Word document, it simply repeated the page
number.

So for example in the footer of page 3 of a five page document I would
expect to see Page 3 of 5 but what I actually get is Page 3 of 3.

Is this a permanent bug? I see from searching on the www that this is not
uncommon and not restricted to early versions of Word.

It has been confirmed that this is an XP bug. My solution is to print my
Word files via LibreOffice!
