Discussion:
Office 2007 Clipart not searching Web Collections
(too old to reply)

I have a user who doesn't get any clipart from the web collections even
though the option is selected in the dropdown menu under Insert -> Clipart.

This happens on any computer the user logs onto but only that user. All
computers running Windows XP SP2 with Office 2007 Professional Plus.

I have deleted the local profile and from the server as roaming profiles
with folder redirection are in use on our Windows 2003 Server.

It would be very much appreciated if anybody can help fix this.

You may not be able to use the Clip Organizer to view Web Collections when you
run an Office program

This article is for Office 2003, but it could be a 2007 solution too.
How to redirect Clip Organizer file paths for a roaming profile in Office 2003

I'd check the firewall to see if this user is blocked.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for the response.

I have tried what was mentioned in the first link but that didn't resolve
it. Regarding what is said in the second link, I cannot see the registry key
it asks me to go to so I suspect that is for 2003 only.

Regarding the firewall, I have checked ISA 2004 monitoring and it says the
request for the request for that user is successful when searching for
clipart.

Any other ideas that you or anybody have would be very much appreciated.

I don't know what else I can suggest. It is strange that it only happens to one
user. Maybe the MStore10.mgc is broken for the user.
Find MStore10.mgc and rename it to MStore10.old. The Organizer will create a new
catalog the next time the user opens it.
It is in a folder similar to this:
C:\Documents and Settings\<<user>>\Application Data\Microsoft\Clip Organizer.

open internet explorer, tools, internet options, connections, Lan Settings, TOGGLE "AUTOMATICALLY DETECT SETTINGS" off and on (remove the check, hit apply, add the check back, hit apply)

This is also the fix if people are having troubling streaming media player online videos....
