Yes thanks. I did this & it seems fixed after a system reboot.

The problem was difficulty in inserting addresses into the cc & bcc
fields when I tried to send mail on to others. I'd get a
"shimmering" of the desired name, and that insertion would freeze.
I'll keep my eye on it.

This did not work after all.

If there's some corrupted file, will re-installing Outlook2010 fix it?

Outlook has a file to repair the .pst file

Go to Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Office/Office 14/scanpst.exe

Run this file, it asks for your file location, then repairs it
