Hello all.

We have a product key we received when we purchased 90 volume licenses
of office 2007. I am in the midst of rolling them out, I have 46/90
installed, and recently 2 different machines refuse the product key
outright, stating that it's an "invalid product key". I have tried
entering and reentering the product key correctly. I've tried a reboot,
then ran setup again and it still does not accept the product key.
Copy/paste doesn't work either.

I have googled this issue and looked at kb836178 and kb919895, neither
of which fixed this issue. Any suggestions to deal with this problem?

Do these two machines have any previously installed Office 2007 trials that
have not been uninstalled? If so try uninstalling, rebooting and trying the
VL install again.

As VL posted and said plus make sure that the Activation Assistant is also
uninstalled. If not then you cannot use any key especially the VL key
--
