Word 2007 templates

This might be a no go area here. I created a template document and
password protected it. I double click enter password and create a new
document and save it. Prepare -> encript document (Leaving it blank)
will not remove the password. Do I have to remove it from the template
in order to have a no password new document?

I had the same problem recently. Annoying. I opened it up copied the
entire contents, closed it down. New word dcounent, paste and save as
back to the original overwriting the old one.

Works.
